CARROT AND CABBAGE CASSEROLE 
4 c. sliced carrots
1 med. head cabbage, chopped
1 lg. onion, chopped
1/2 c. butter
16 oz. or 12 slices American processed cheese

Simmer carrots, cabbage, and onions until barely tender; drain. Combine vegetables with butter and 1/4 of cheese. Top with the remainder of the cheese (cut into small pieces). Bake for 20 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
