LINGUINI WITH CREAMY CLAM SAUCE 
1/2 c. sliced green onions
3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
3/4 c. milk
1 can minced clams, drained (reserve liquid)
1 (12 oz.) box linguini (flat spaghetti) or extra thin spaghetti
Pepper to taste

In medium saucepan over medium heat, saute onions in butter just until limp. Remove from heat; blend in flour until smooth. Gradually stir in milk. Cook, stirring until smooth and thickened. Stir in clams and pepper. Toss with hot linquini; serve immediately. Serves 4.
