CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES | |
1 c. butter, sweet 1 c. granulated sugar 1 c. brown sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. real vanilla extract 2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1 c. oatmeal, powdered Cream butter, sugar and brown sugar together. Add eggs and vanilla extract. In separate bowl put flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda and oatmeal. Put small amounts of oatmeal in blender after measuring, blend in small batches until it turns to powder. Mix all ingredients together and add: 12 ounce bag of chocolate chips and a 4 ounce plain Hershey bar (broken up). If desired, also add 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans and macadamia nuts). Place golf ball sized cookies 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 6 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet to cool on waxed paper. Makes 56 cookies (see next paragraph). The lady who sent this recipe says that she uses well rounded teaspoons of dough. Her oven bakes them in 8 minutes. You might want to watch them until they are just golden brown. She gets 72 cookies as she makes them smaller than golf balls. Thanks Millie Stackowicz for this delicious recipe. NOTE: A women who works at the American Bar Association called Mrs. Fields cookies and asked for the attached recipe. She was told there was a two fifty charge for the recipe. She assumed it was $2.50 and she charted it to her Visa. It was not $2.50 but $250.00. In order to get her money's worth she is passing the recipe out to everyone. |
