CREOLE CABBAGE 
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste, plus 3 cans water
1 sm. yellow onion, sliced
1 green pepper, diced
1 rib celery, finely sliced
2 med. tomatoes, peeled, seeded, and chopped
1 sm. head white cabbage, shredded
2 tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped
1 clove fresh garlic, pressed
1/4 tsp. dried thyme
1/4 tsp. marjoram
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
Vegetable salt to taste
Freshly ground pepper to taste

Put all ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil, lower heat, and simmer covered for 15-20 minutes, or until cabbage is tender-crisp. Serves 8.
