SPAGHETTI PLATTER DINNER | |
1 lg. onion, chopped 1/4 c. salad oil 1 lb. ground beef 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 2 1/2 c. (1 #2 can) tomatoes 1 c. water 1 1/2 c. chopped celery 1 clove garlic 1 bay leaf 2-3 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. sugar Dash of pepper 1 (8 oz.) pkg. long spaghetti Grated Parmesan cheese Brown onion in hot salad oil, add meat and brown. Add remaining ingredients except spaghetti and cheese. Simmer 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Cook spaghetti in boiling salted water until tender. Drain, rinse with hot water and drain. Pour sauce over spaghetti on large platter. Toss with forks to blend. Sprinkle with cheese. Serves 4. |
