CHERRY - CREAM CHEESE COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
2 (3 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese
2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. maraschino cherries, halved
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Salt (opt.)

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix butter and cream cheese. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Top each cookie with a cherry half. Bake until almost no indentation remains when touched, 8 to 10 minutes. Immediately remove from cookie sheet and cool. Makes about 6 dozen.
