SALAD DRESSING CAKE 
1 1/3 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. salad dressing (not mayonnaise)
1 c. cold water

Mix dry ingredients. Sift 4 times. Add salad dressing and water. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes in greased and floured two 9 inch pans.

FROSTING:

1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. dairy sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 to 2 3/4 c. sifted confectioners sugar

Melt chocolate pieces and butter over hot (not boiling) water. Then blend in sour cream, vanilla, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Gradually add powdered sugar until of spreading consistency. Beat well. Frosts tops and sides of two 9 inch layers or 10 inch tube cake.
