BEST BBQ MEATBALLS 
MEATBALLS:

1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
3 lbs. ground beef
2 c. oats
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. chili powder

BBQ SAUCE:

2 c. catsup
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. liquid smoke
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 c. finely minced onion

Mix together all meatball ingredients. Shape into balls the size of walnuts. Place in one layer in flat pan.

Mix together all sauce ingredients. Stir until sugar dissolves. Pour sauce over meatballs. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Makes about 40 meatballs.

I've made these meatballs several times over the past few years and they are so delicious! This recipe says it makes about 40 meatballs, but I make mine smaller and get about 80 appetizer size meatballs. I bake without the sauce, then cool and pop them in the freezer for later use. When needed, I put the frozen meatballs and BBQ sauce in a crock pot on medium until cooked through. I use the whole amount of BBQ sauce for about half of the appetizer size meatballs.
