MEATBALLS AND SAUERKRAUT WITH
DUMPLINGS
 
2 lbs. hamburger
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
1 sm. chopped onion
1/2 c. rice
1 tsp. paprika

Mix together and make meatballs. Place in a 3 or 4-quart kettle in which sauerkraut has been spread in bottom. Pour in enough water to cover and simmer 40-45 minutes covered.

DUMPLINGS:

1/2 c. milk
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder

Make dumpling and drop into pot. Cover, cook until done.
