1 1/2 c. self-rising flour 1 tbsp. sugar 1/2 c. Carnation dry milk Water 1/4 c. Crisco oil 4-6 c. broth Mix flour, sugar, Carnation dry milk, together with very little water. Add Crisco oil; mix well. (If you need flour mixture thickened, add more flour.) Bring broth to a boil. Dip tablespoon into boiling broth. Pick up 1 heaping tablespoon of batter and drop into boiling broth. (Don't add too many tablespoons of batter because if they touch they'll get soggy.) Cook for 12 minutes without taking lid off pot. Serve. |
