DROP DUMPLINGS 
1 c. flour
1 tbsp. shortening
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Milk

Sift flour, measure, then sift with salt and baking powder. Add shortening, then enough milk until a thick drop batter is obtained. Drop by teaspoon into boiling broth. Cover pan, cook 12 minutes. Makes enough for 1 pint of broth. Double recipe for more than 1 quart of broth.
