TURNIP CASSEROLE 
Dice a yellow turnip into 3/4" cubes. Cook 10 minutes and drain. Cover with 1 cup water into which 1 teaspoon of good chicken stock powder has been stirred and complete cooking. Drain.

Make a white sauce with 1 1/4 cups milk, 1 tablespoon flour, 1 tablespoon butter, salt and pepper. When thickened, add 2 or 3 cheese slices and seasoned salt (optional). Cook until cheese melts. Put turnip in casserole dish, top with cheese sauce and bread crumbs. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
