MONKEY CAKE 
2 c. sugar
3 tsp. cinnamon
4 (8 oz.) pkg. House brand biscuits (not buttermilk)
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 tbsp. milk
Nuts and raisins; optional

Mix 1 cup sugar, 2 teaspoons cinnamon in mixing bowl. Combine the other cup of sugar with 1 teaspoon cinnamon and butter; put in saucepan on stove to boil. Add 1 tablespoon milk to thin a bit. Keep mixture warm while preparing biscuits. Take 2 cans of biscuits and quarter each one. Put into mixing bowl with cinnamon and sugar mixture. Mix until coated, then put these pieces of biscuits in tube pan. Pour 1/2 of syrup mixture over them adding nuts and raisins. Repeat with other 2 cans of biscuits, more nuts and raisins and syrup. Bake 40-45 minutes in ungreased solid bottom tube pan. Take out immediately, turning onto plate away from you. Put pan in water and soak.
