BUTTERNUT COOKIES 
3/4 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Cream together sugar and butter. Add remaining ingredients and blend well. Roll in teaspoon-size balls and smash with a warm, moist fork on a cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes.
