SWEET BASIL 
1/2 c. basil leaves
1/4 c. parsley leaves
5 tbsp. walnuts
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic
1/4 c. olive oil
Grated rind of 1/2 lemon

In a blender, puree oil, garlic and nuts. Add basil and parsley a little at a time. Add cheese and lemon. Puree until smooth. Serve over pasta or vegetables.

Recipe conversions:

Use 3 times the amount of fresh herbs in recipes that call for dry herbs. Example: 1 teaspoon dried thyme.

1 tablespoon fresh thyme.

Use fresh herbs near the end of cooking time to preserve flavor.
