RED BEANS AND RICE 
2 lbs. red beans or kidney beans, dried
1 1/2 lbs. hamburger or ground beef
1 lb. Polish sausage, diced into sm. cubes
4 med. onions, chopped
1 c. rice

Wash beans and put in large pot. Brown hamburger, onion and sausage mixture until grease is cooked out. Pour meat mixture into beans. Heat at medium-low heat until thick, about four hours. Add water occasionally to keep beans from sticking. Add salt and pepper to taste. Prepare rice according to directions on package. To serve, pour meat and beans over rice.
