TART CHERRY CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
1 1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 lb. tart cherries, drained
1 tsp. cinnamon

CRUMBS:

1 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar (1/2 white, 1/2 brown sugar)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. melted butter

Mix all of first 10 ingredients except cherries. Use 2 (9 inch) round pans or 9 x 13 inch pan. Pour mixture into greased pan. Top with cherries. Sprinkle crumb mixture over top. Bake 40 to 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Test with toothpick. When cool, drizzle white frosting, but not necessary.
