ROLLED CHICKEN POT PIE 
3 c. flour
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt

Work shortening in to make fine crumbs in flour. Add 1 cup water (scant) to make crumbs stick together. Take small portions of this dough and roll thin. Cut into pieces. Drop a layer of dough on top of cooked chicken, cover until next pieces are cut, then stir and drop next set of pieces in as before - cover and repeat. Don't be dubious about the thinness of this rolled dough - it will puff and swell.

Cook stewing chicken, salt and pepper until tender, then add rolled dough. Cook rolled dough 30 minutes.
