GRANNY CAKE | |
2 c. flour 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 2 eggs 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. pecans 1 can pineapple, crushed with juice Sift dry ingredients together. Add eggs and pineapple; mix well. Pour into greased pan. Sprinkle brown sugar and nuts over top before baking. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. GRANNY CAKE TOPPING: 1 c. milk 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. butter 1 tsp. vanilla Melt butter, sugar and milk; boil 10 minutes. Cook over low heat. While cake bakes. Add vanilla. Pour over cake while hot. |
