BARA BRITH 
4 c. self-rising flour
1 lb. mixed dried fruit
6 tbsp. sugar
1 c. warm tea without milk
1 tsp. mixed spice
Honey to glaze
2 tbsp. marmalade
1 egg

Mix dried fruit and sugar. Pour over the warm tea and stand overnight. The next day, stir in flour, spice, marmalade, and finally well-beaten egg.

Line a loaf pan with greased paper. Put mixture in and cook in a moderate 325 degree oven for 1 3/4 hours. Cool on wire rack and glaze with warm honey. Let it get completely cold before cutting and serve buttered. A traditional Celtic bread.
