MAMA FOLEY'S BANANA ICE CREAM | |
Scald 1 pint milk. Dissolve 3 heaping cups of sugar in milk. Cool! Mix 1 quart of heavy cream into this mixture. Strain into freezer can. Freeze until it begins to harden. Have ready 6 large mashed bananas. Put through strainer (I use a Foley mill). Add the juice of 2 lemons to bananas. Add pureed fruit to the cream mixture. Freeze until hard. May use 6 large peaches or 1 quart of strawberries instead of bananas. |
