1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
2 egg, beaten
1/4 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. ground allspice
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 c. chopped cherries
1 c. chopped pineapple
1 c. chopped dates
1 1/2 c. raisins
3 c. pecans, chopped

Combine butter and sugar, creaming until light and fluffy. Add eggs, buttermilk, flour, soda, and spices. Mix well. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by teaspoonful onto greased baking sheet. Bake until brown at 350 degrees. Yield: 7 dozen.
