SQUASH PATTIES 
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
2 tbsp. milk
2 tbsp. chopped onion
1 c. cooked mashed squash
1/2 c. self-rising flour
Hot corn oil

Combine all ingredients - mix well. Drop mixture by tablespoon into hot oil in a large skillet. Flatten to 1/4 inch thick patties. Cook to golden brown, turn and brown on other side. Makes about 14.
