TURKEY-BROCCOLI CASSEROLE | |
2 (10 oz.) pkgs. frozen broccoli 1 tbsp. lemon juice 2 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 2 c. milk 1/2 c. shredded Velveeta cheese 2 c. cooked turkey (cut into strips) 3/4 c. soft bread crumbs 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese 1 tsp. melted butter Cook broccoli according to package directions; drain. Place broccoli in an 8 x 1 1/2 inch round baking dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice. In saucepan melt the 2 tablespoons butter. Blend in flour and salt. Add milk all at once. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Remove from heat; stir in Velveeta until melted. Stir in turkey strips. Spoon turkey mixture over broccoli in baking dish. Combine bread crumbs, Parmesan and the melted butter. Sprinkle over casserole. Bake uncovered, at 350 degrees until hot, 20-25 minutes. |
