FORGOTTEN COOKIES | |
2 egg whites 1/4 tsp. salt 3/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 c. chocolate chips 1/2 c. chopped pecans Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Beat egg whites with salt until stiff but not dry. Add sugar and vanilla, mixing well. Fold in chocolate chips and pecans gently. Drop by small spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Place in oven and then turn off the oven. Let cookies stand in closed oven overnight. Be sure to "forget" them overnight without peeping and then you may forget them for weeks and still find them good if you close them up tightly. |
