FLYING SAUCER COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 c. sifted flour
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. oats
2 c. Wheaties
1 c. nuts
1 c. raisins (if desired)

Cream shortening and sugar; beat in eggs. Sift dry ingredients. Blend into creamed mix adding vanilla and cereals; add nuts and raisins if desired. Place 1/4 cup dough on ungreased cookie sheet; flatten. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
