MARTHA'S COMPANY CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 (8 oz.) pkg. med. size noodles (12 oz. if doubled)
1 c. sour cream
3 oz. softened cream cheese (8 oz. if doubled)
1/2 c. chopped chives or green shallot tops
1 c. grated cheddar cheese

Brown meat and drain fat. To meat in skillet add tomato sauce, sugar, salt and garlic powder. Simmer about 10 minutes. Meanwhile cook noodles, drain and put on bottom of oblong baking dish which is at least 2 or 3 inches deep. Combine sour cream, cream cheese and chives and spread over noodles.

Spread meat mixture over cheese mixture. Sprinkle grated cheese on top. Cook at 350 degrees for about 20 to 30 minutes. I always double this recipe, even for 2 people. It is good when left over and reheated. When reheating, I cover with foil to keep cheese from browning too much. Serves 4.
