SWEET DILL PICKLES 
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
2 c. water

This makes enough for 3 quarts. Onion Dill

Boil syrup and cool. Pack pickles which have been cut lengthwise in quart jars. Add 1 teaspoon salt, onion and dill to each jar. Pour syrup over cucumbers - seal jar. Cold pack until pickles change color, 20-30 minutes.

Start with cold water and let it come to a boil. If large onions are used, cut in quarters and put in jars.
