COOKED PUMPKIN 
One pumpkin

Wash pumpkin; cut into large pieces. Remove the seeds (save for toasted pumpkin seeds) and strings or fibers. Put pumpkin pieces, shell side up, in a baking pan and bake in a 325 degree oven for 1 hour or more, until pumpkin is very tender. Scrape pulp from the shells; put through a food mill or ricer. If the pumpkin is not thick enough to stand in peaks, simmer it in a saucepan on top of the range for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Freeze in family size servings.
