CHOCOLATE SNICKERDOODLES | |
3 c. sugar 1 1/2 c. butter, softened (3 sticks) 2 tsp. vanilla 4 eggs 4 1/2 c. flour 1 c. unsweetened cocoa 2 tsp. cream of tartar 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 4 tbsp. sugar 4 tsp. cinnamon Heat oven to 400 degrees. Cream 3 cups sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Blend in vanilla and eggs. Blend flour, cocoa, cream of tartar, soda and salt into creamed mixture. Shape dough into 1" balls and rolls in a mixture of 4 tablespoons sugar and 4 teaspoons cinnamon. Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 400 degrees for 9 to 12 minutes. This recipe is double from the original one. Makes 4 or more dozen. (Our Favorite) |
