CLAM CHOWDER 
1 tsp. salt
2 c. potatoes
1/2 c. carrots
1/2 c. celery
1/2 c. minced onion or 2 tbsp. dry onion
1/4 lb. butter
4 tbsp. butter
1 qt. milk
2 tbsp. onion soup mix
1 tbsp. minced parsley
6 1/2 oz. can minced clams

Dice vegetables and steam until tender about 20-30 minutes. While this is cooking put the butter and flour in a soup pot. Add the milk. Make a white sauce, add the onion soup mix and parsley, cook until slightly thick. Add vegetables and the can of clams. Simmer 15 minutes. Stir so it won't burn! Really good! Can be doubled.
