CHOCOLATE SHEATH CAKE | |
2 c. flour 2 c. sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 stick butter 1/2 c. Crisco 4 tbsp. cocoa 1 c. water 1/2 c. buttermilk 1 tsp. baking soda 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla Bring to a boil: butter, Crisco, cocoa and water. Pour over flour, sugar, and cinnamon. Beat well. Add buttermilk, soda, eggs and vanilla. Pour into sheath cake pan. Bake in 400 degree oven for 20 minutes. ICING: 1 stick butter 4 tbsp. cocoa 6 tbsp. water 1 tsp. vanilla 1 box powdered sugar Heat first 4 ingredients. Pour over powdered sugar. Mix well. Ice while cake is still warm. |
