White sauce (homemade or in a pinch, use a cream soup like mushroom)
Ritz crackers

Slice carrots and simmer in salted water until they are cooked but still crisp. Layer a buttered casserole with cooked carrots and raw onions. Dribble white sauce over (should fill up 1/2 to 3/4 of dish). Crush Ritz crackers over top thickly. Bake at 350 degrees until bubbly. (Can be prepared up to baking hours early.)
