BEEF GOULASH | |
3 lbs. chuck 2 tbsp. fat 5 onions, diced 1 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. paprika 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 green peppers, sliced 1 c. canned tomato sauce Cut the beef in 2 inch cubes. Heat the fat in a heavy saucepan and brown the meat in it. Stir in the onions and continue to brown. Sprinkle with the salt, paprika and pepper. Cover and cook over low heat 1/2 hour. Add the green peppers and tomato sauce. Cook 1 1/2 hours longer or until meat is tender. Serve with noodles or boiled potatoes. Serves 6-8. |
