SPONGE CAKE (HOT MILK) 
4 eggs, room temperature
1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
2 tsp. butter
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Whip eggs and sugar together. Heat milk and butter. Alternate adding 1/4 flour and baking powder with 1/4 milk into egg mixture on low speed on your mixer. After all of the flour mixture has been added to the egg mixture add the vanilla.

Pour into 8 x 11 1/2 inch pan.

Bake at 350°F for 40-45 minutes.

Note: Increase recipe by 1/2 to fit into 9 x 13 inch pan.
