BANANA PUDDING 
Vanilla wafers
6 bananas
1 sm. can cream with enough water to make 2 c. liquid
1 c. sweet milk
3 egg yolks
2 tbsp. cornstarch
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook sugar, milk, cornstarch and egg yolks until slightly thick. Add vanilla. Make layer of vanilla wafers, then bananas and top with pudding mixture. Repeat until all ingredients are used, ending with pudding on top. Top with meringue and brown in hot oven.

MERINGUE:

2 egg whites
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Add sugar 1 tablespoon at a time, beating after each addition. Add vanilla. Mound on top of pudding.
