MOTHER'S BANANA PUDDING 
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
Dash of salt
1 1/3 c. milk
2 egg yellows (save whites)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 box vanilla wafers
3 bananas

In saucepan mix sugar, cornstarch, salt and milk. Beat egg yellows and slowly add to mixture. Cook on medium heat, stirring slowly until mixture thickens. Add vanilla. Set aside to cool.

Layer vanilla wafers and bananas in baking dish. Pour custard over wafers and bananas. Top with meringue made from the 2 egg whites and 1/2 cup sugar. Beat egg whites until stiff and gradually add sugar. Spread on top of pudding dish and bake at 350 degrees until meringue is brown.
