Jello Shots

People Everclear is moonshine that's all, its not a manslaughter case waiting to happen or a man/women killer. And its awesome in jello shots. Obviously if your an irresponsible adult who overdoes it it'll mess you up but if that's the case you shouldn't be on here anyways right? Use caution and announce that its in there and I promise people will love them.

Do not use Everclear. It is pure grain alcohol. Do not use anything that is over 90 proof or it won't set. Add 3/4 cup hot water and 1 1/4 cup alcohol for the best shots. They will set just fine and it will feel really awesome as soon as it hits your throat. Use in moderation as with any other mixed drink

Putting the jello shots in the freezer for an hour helps them set much much faster.

I uses 20 cc syringes (new of course, you can wash these and reuse after the shots) (again new). They're FUN at parties. Be careful the 1st year I made Jello shots I was put to bed. My friend made Everclear and she was sick for days. They were so strong, no one enjoyed them except her. I have made with Rum, Tequila, Vodka you clear Liquors. Have fun and Happy New Year!

Party City, Maines or any other party supply store has the plastic cups, both with and without covers. Of course, without is much, much cheaper so if you want to save money just put all the shots on a cookie sheet and cover with plastic wrap until you serve them.

They are yummy.. Though I prefer pudding shots.. and you can use everclear, just use it in a responsible matter and make sure you use the same amount of everclear equal to the amount of vodka you would use... This isn't right but for example... 2 cups vodka: 1 cup everclear... and so on.

Would it be okay to substitute the cups for something more accessible, like a candy mold or ice-cube tray? I've got fancy molds from back when and haven't been using them for anything lately, and it would be neat to have candy-shaped jell-o shots, I think. And could you use lollipop sticks, or are toothpicks more advisable?

Thumbs up to the gummi worm idea, think I could incorporate it inside the shots and have a Halloween party with worm shots? :)

Try making jiggler shots.. just follow the recipe for jigglers but substitute part of the water with vodka... it's much easier to eat, you can just pick them up and don't have to waste money on something to put the jello in.. just pour it in a pan and cut them into any size you want!

Just to warn everyone out there if your having a small get together reduce the recipe... I made the three boxes etc. etc. and now have over 40 jello shots for a small gathering.
