Bake 1 hour at 300 degrees. Cream together 1/2 cup Crisco and 1 cup white sugar. Add 1 egg. Add 1 teaspoon baking soda to 1 1/2 cups cold applesauce and 4 tablespoons hot water.

2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt

Sift together.

2 c. nuts & raisins
1 lb. fruit mix
1 c. dates, cut up
1 c. chocolate chips
1 sm. can crushed pineapple, drained

Bake in loaf pan lined with brown paper.
