FRUIT COBBLER 
Fruit:

3 - 4 c. fruit (approximately)
2/3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
cinnamon
lemon juice
butter
2 tbsp. water, if desired

Use 8x8 inch square or 9x5 inch loaf pan. Mix sugar and flour with fruit in pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon, lemon juice and dot with butter. Add water, if desired.

Pastry:

1 c. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
1 egg
3 tbsp. milk

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening. Beat egg with milk and stir into flour mixture. Drop by small spoonfuls onto fruit.

Bake at 350°F for approximately 30 minutes.
