BLACKBERRY FRUIT CAKE 
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 lb. raisins
2 c. sugar
1 c. blackberry jelly
1/2 lb. butter
4 eggs, separated
3 c. flour
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. ground cloves

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks, one at a time; then blackberry jelly, soda and spices. Add raisins to flour, then alternately add flour and buttermilk. Beat egg whites until stiff, fold into batter. Bake in 3 greased and floured 9" pans at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes or until done.

FILLING:

3 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. sweet milk
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. crunchy peanut butter

Cook first 3 ingredients until ball forms. Remove from heat, add peanut butter. Beat over cold water until cool enough to spread.
