CORNBREAD PIE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 lg. onion
1 (10 1/2 oz. size) tomato soup
2 c. water
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. chili powder
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
1 c. or can red kidney beans

TOPPING:

3/4 c. cornmeal
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Brown the beef and onions in a skillet. Add the soup, water, beans, green peppers and seasoning. Mix well and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Pour this mixture into a greased casserole 3/4 full, leaving room for corn bread topping. Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes.
