HAM SUPPER SOUP | |
1 ham bone 1 1/2 c. dried split peas 1 1/2 c. corn 1 1/2 c. cubed carrots 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 1/2 c. cubed potatoes 1/2 c. chopped celery Cover ham bone with 2 quarts water in large kettle. Simmer, covered for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Add peas, carrots and onion. Simmer for 1 hour longer. Add potatoes and celery. Remove bone. Cut off meat. Return meat to kettle, simmer for 15-20 minutes longer. |
