ITALIAN GRAVY 
3 tbsp. oil
1 whole onion
3 lg. cans plump whole Italian tomatoes
1 lg. can crushed tomatoes
2 tsp. sugar
Garlic powder, salt, black pepper, red pepper seeds, parsley, oregano to taste
5 lb. beef, pork, veal mix
4 eggs
1 to 1 1/2 c. Italian bread crumbs
Salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste
3 lb. sausage
2 lb. spare ribs
2 cans tomato paste
1 tbsp. oil
4 paste cans full of water

Put 3 tablespoons oil in bottom of 5 quart pot. Cut up whole onion and brown. Remove onion. Take 3 large cans plump whole Italian tomatoes and puree in blender. Then add 1 large can crushed tomatoes and pour into pot. Add sugar and spices to taste. Let simmer on real low flame. Mix meatballs with beef, veal, pork mix and add eggs, bread crumbs, and spices. Mix well. Shape into balls and fry. Set aside. Cut up 3 pounds of sausage and fry. Set aside. Fry spare ribs and set aside. In frying pan with oil fry paste for about 10-15 minutes. Then add 4 paste cans full of water. Put the paste into the simmering sauce. Then add meats. Cook on low flame for about 3 hours. Serve over pasta. Delicious. Serves large family.
