CRUNCHY BEEF-NOODLE CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 lg. onion, chopped 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup 1 can mushroom stems and pieces, undrained 3/4 c. milk 1 sm. green pepper 1/2 c. sliced pitted ripe olives 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/8 tsp. pepper 2 1/2 c. uncooked egg noodles, cooked and drained 1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar or process American cheese 1 c. chow mein noodles 1/2 c. mixed salted nuts 2 tbsp. soy sauce Cook ground beef and onion in skillet, stirring frequently, until beef is brown; drain. Stir in remaining ingredients except cheese, noodles, and nuts. Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover and bake in 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Top with noodles and nuts. Bake uncovered 10 minutes. Makes 6-8 servings. |
