TRUE SOUTHERN PECAN PIE 
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. Karo dark corn syrup
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
2 to 2 1/2 c. pecans (half chopped, half whole)
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell

Put pie shell in greased and floured pie pan. In large bowl, mix together eggs, syrup, sugar, butter, and vanilla until well blended. Stir in all pecans. Pour into pie shell and bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean. Cool. May serve warm with vanilla ice cream. Serves 6-8.
