GREEN PEA SALAD 
1 head lettuce
1/2 c. chopped onions
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 lg. pkg. frozen peas
1 pt. mayonnaise
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
8-12 slices bacon, crumbled

Break up lettuce and arrange in a 9 x 13 inch glass dish. Mix celery, onion and pepper; place on top of lettuce. Place peas in a colander and run under hot water for a few minutes. Drain and place on top of the other vegetables.

Spread mayonnaise over the top and sprinkle with sugar. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 12 hours. Cover with crumbled bacon before serving.
