SCALLOPED OYSTERS 
1 pt. oysters
4 tbsp. oyster juice
1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
2 tbsp. milk or cream
1 c. cracker crumbs
1/2 c. melted butter
Salt and pepper

Mix bread and cracker crumbs. Stir in butter. Put a thin layer in bottom of shallow buttered baking dish, cover with oysters and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add half each of oyster liquid and milk or cream. Repeat and cover top with remaining crumbs. Bake 30 minutes in hot oven at 450 degrees. Do not make more than 2 layers of oysters or the middle layer will be undone.
