BANANA NUT BARS 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 med. very ripe banana, sliced
1/3 c. milk
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Beat all ingredients except nuts at medium speed 2 minutes. Spread in 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Cool and frost. Sprinkle with nuts.

BANANA FROSTING:

Combine 2 tablespoons soft butter, 2 cups powdered sugar, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 1/2 medium banana. Beat until smooth and cream. If necessary thin with a few drops of milk.
