PUMPKIN BREAD 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. cooked pumpkin
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda (scant)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ginger

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well. Add pumpkin. Sift flour, salt, soda and spices. Add to creamed ingredients. Pour in loaf pan and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
